Nollywood’s biggest premiere of the year draws record crowds

Queues stretched around the block on Sunday night as the year’s most anticipated home video premiere opened to a sold-out hall and a red carpet packed with cast and crew.

What we know so far

An official statement released later in the day stopped short of addressing the specific figures cited in the documents reviewed by this newsroom.

Attempts to reach the officials named in the report were unsuccessful; comments will be added to this story if they respond.

Officials confirmed the details are still being verified by the relevant agencies.
